Who We Are

Alberton Locks is a local, owner-operated locksmith service based at 140 Jacqueline Street in Randhart, Alberton. We have been serving residents, businesses, and motorists across Alberton and the greater Ekurhuleni area for several years, handling everything from urgent 3 am lockouts to planned commercial lock system installations.

We are not a call centre or an aggregator that dispatches whoever happens to be available. When you call Alberton Locks, you speak directly to us, and we are the ones who come out to the job.

What We Do

We cover four main areas of locksmith work:

• Emergency lockouts — homes, businesses, and vehicles, 24 hours a day.
• Residential lock work — lockouts, rekeying, lock replacement, security upgrades for houses, flats, townhouses, and estate properties.
• Commercial lock work — office and shopfront access, master key systems, after-hours business cover.
• Automotive lock work — car lockouts, key cutting, transponder key programming, ignition issues across all common makes and models.

Our Service Area

We are based in Randhart and cover all of Alberton, including Brackenhurst, Alberton North, Meyersdal, New Redruth, Verwoerdpark, Florentia, and Alrode. If you are in the Ekurhuleni area and are unsure whether we reach you, call us — we will tell you honestly rather than send you to a Google map.

Pricing and Transparency

We quote before we start work. Our pricing depends on the service type and time of call: daytime residential jobs typically start from around R350; after-hours emergency work, transponder key programming, or complex commercial work will be higher. We tell you what it will cost before we open anything. What we quote is what you pay.

If a job is beyond what we can do — for example, certain high-security electronic access systems — we will tell you that too, rather than attempt something and charge you for an incomplete result.

Why Local Matters

Being based in Alberton means faster response times and an understanding of the local context. We are familiar with the lock brands and security setups common in the area — Mul-T-Lock, Abloy, Yale, and the various Chinese imports — and we carry the tools to work on them.
