These terms and conditions govern the provision of locksmith services by Alberton Locks, operating from 140 Jacqueline Street, Randhart, Alberton, 1449. By requesting our services, you agree to these terms.
Services
We provide residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith services including but not limited to: lockouts, lock rekeying, lock replacement, key cutting, transponder key programming, and broken key extraction. The scope of each job is confirmed before work begins.
Pricing and Quotation
We provide a price estimate before attending any job. The final price is confirmed on site before work begins. If on-site assessment reveals that the job is more complex or requires additional materials not anticipated in the initial quote, we inform you and obtain your agreement before proceeding. What we agree on site is what you pay.
After-hours rates (typically evenings, weekends, and public holidays) are higher than standard daytime rates. This is disclosed when you call.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the job. We currently accept cash and EFT. Payment by card on site is not available. We provide a receipt or invoice on request.
Your Responsibilities
You confirm that you have lawful authority to request locksmith work on the property or vehicle involved. We may request identification or proof of occupancy before performing work, particularly for lock replacement or where any doubt exists about your right to access the property.
You accept responsibility for ensuring the work environment is reasonably safe for the locksmith to operate in.
Limitation of Liability
We take reasonable care to minimise damage during the performance of our services. However, circumstances exist where forced entry or lock replacement may cause minor cosmetic damage to the door or frame that is unavoidable. Where any such risk exists, we will discuss it with you before proceeding.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the job performed. We are not liable for consequential losses arising from the lock or key problem itself, or from any delay in our response.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel a booking after we have already dispatched, we may charge a call-out fee for travel time and costs incurred. This is assessed case by case.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our service, contact us on 066 147 4234 and we will address the issue. We take complaints seriously and investigate every one.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
